Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein Powder

Reason For Use:

  • Solid protein without the calories. It was one of the original protein powders to heavily market this fact, and that part is what drew me to it during my earlier bodybuilding days. Certainly has the bang for its buck, as it’s 24g of protein per scoop with only 3g of carbs.

Not Recommended For:

  • The sole source of calories for weight gain. As I mentioned previously, this is an excellent protein powder if you’re looking for fewer calories per protein consumption. If you’re looking to bulk, I’d suggest either stacking this with a weight gainer.

Excellent Sources Of:

  • Protein

Active Ingredients.

  • Calcium
  • Vitamin C
  • Folic Acid
  • Vitamin A
  • 5-HTP
  • Iron
  • Multiminerals

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Casein Protein Powder, Creamy Vanilla, 4 Pound

Reason For Use:

  • Casein protein is great for consuming before bedtime because, unlike whey protein, it doesn’t digest within hours. Instead, it allows your body to slowly tap into that source of protein as you fast instead tapping into other sources, such as your fat or muscle stores.
  • I mostly recommend this supplement to those whose goal is weight gain.

*Optimum Nutrition Micronized Creatine Monohydrate Powder

Reason For Use:

  • My reason: For weight and strength gain
  • Scientific Reason: (Coming Soon!)

Cellucor C4 Ripped Pre Workout Powder

Reason For Use:

  • For its intense energy without the caffeine crash. I actually sip it on my way to the gym and even through my first few workouts because I’m sensitive to stimulants and this one is highly stimulating.

Not Recommended For:

  • Heavy coffee drinkers. The caffeine already going through your body throughout the day from the coffee should be enough energy to safely get you through a workout. Also, try pre-workout supplements that don’t have caffeine! (I’ll be adding those to this list soon)
